Over 12 years ago Alex Marnoch started his electrical business, operating from his garage at his home in Turangi. Back then Alex had only one staff member his apprentice.
As the workload grew extra space was needed and the business was moved into a workshop in Turanga Place in Turangi.
This move created another opportunity for Alex to expand his business further as it backed on to a workshop which sold and serviced electrical goods as well as bicycles.
The “new” electrical business was amalgamated and rebranded as AME Solutions Ltd.
Central Plateau Cycles Turangi continued to sell, service and repair bikes under Alex’s ownership.
A small “showroom” was built at the front to showcase the home appliances.
This created a one stop shop for the Turangi District for electrical and appliance repairs, service, and installation of whiteware, heat pumps and wood burning fires.
Within a year the space was deemed too small for the ever-increasing amount of Betta electrical product in the showroom, so a shop in the Turangi Town Centre was purchased to house the new “Home and Heating” shop.
Central Plateau Cycles Turangi was relocated into the Home and Heating showroom in the Town Centre continuing to sell, hire, repair and stock bicycle parts and accessories.
Home and Heating are proud to give our locals access to good quality, competitively priced appliances and whiteware.
